few more progress pictures

A few more progress pictures.  ; ; kitchen and built in office joinery. The kitchen isn't finished in these shots. Since then the bulk heads have been painted, drawers and doors installed etc. For reference, the island bench is 3.3m long as is the bench behind. Where's the fridge!!?? haha, it's tucked in the alcove on opposite side of oven.

Almost there

Well what a last month it has been. Work has been furious on site and off and we're almost there. Just a few little tidyings to go! Here are a few random picutures. Still need to clean and remove packing on a few items (such as bottom of vanity!). There is also a cover to go over the heater.

Balustrade!

Well it's up! Still needs the timber to be finished with whatever coating they finish it with, (and needs a dusting) but damn it looks mighty fine as it is. Some sneaky shots of bathroom & laundry too! Not long to go now.

Joinery 1

Joinery starting to get installed. Pretty happy with how it's coming together:
Kitchen: Drawers (integrated shark nose handles, i.e. no handles) with walk in pantry in the background.

Dust floorboards and TV/Entertainment cabinet with overhead cupboards. (I designed this area!)

Dining Cabinet, reflection of Cliff in background.

Daybed going on top beneath this window.

Rumpus desk and shelving. this will be used as office area and spare TV area.

Kitchen island bench with black backing

Flooring

Flooring is starting to take shape.
Tiling to wet areas
Polished concrete to ground level (covered in dust now though)
Engineered timber (Europlank) to upstairs. (covered in dust too!)

Stairs - Stage 1

Concrete has been polished and stairs almost in - just the balustrade and finish coat of sealer required. We had a quick look before they put mdf protection sheets on the treads and the blackbutt stairs look AMAZING!

Scaffold Down, Plasterboard Up!

Things going along smoothly, Scaffold is down and plasterboard up........

Decisions made on internal paint:
Vivid White for ceiling
Natural White for walls

Polishing the Thunder concrete next week.

Rear garage slab has been poured, big bit of concrete that. It will be dressed on edges some way.

A few minor issues in the last month, nothing major but towards the end of build I'll compile a list of "All the things that went wrong" with a summary of the issue and response. Suffice to say we expected issues, and we're satisfied with the builders response each time we've raised something.

Looking East

A lot of work for me in the backyard!

Open Plan Living

On schedule and on budget - so far! (More Photos)

Things are going very smoothly. Updated some more photos below.
I'm sure something will go wrong soon, can't believe how well it has all gone - I just hope it's not until after we move in we realise. It's very nerve racking trying to make sure we've got everything we want included and all the different components in all the right places....

Rear Slab foundations

Many hours work have gone in to the placement of cabling here!

Ceiling insulation in!
